The "Possibility Screams" train rolled into Kilwinning last night, Saturday 16th May. Scott Nicol and his band officially launched his brand new 5 Track EP. It was a magnificent night. The band sounded like "a hurricane ready

to knock you down if you weren't paying attention." Joined by Alan Divers and Grant Spence of "Ten Miles Tall" fame

on keyboards, guitars and vocals. Also Steve Daye on bass guitar playing some raucous phat rhythms, and Daniel

Thomson formally of "Maybe I'm Dreaming" with some ferocious drumming. Scott himself was on vocals and guitars.

They played a 13 song set plus 2 song encore to the enthusiastic crowd. Some high jinks with the front man standing on

amps and monitors. The whole EP was played in entirety with a couple of acoustic tracks, 2 covers and brand new

songs. This was an exhilerating and exhausting night with a possitive vibe for these troubled times. Possibility was

screaming out loud! Catch him at future gigs throughout the year and be energised!

2009 started with a bang to wake the dead for scott nicol!!starting with putting the finishing touches to his 'possibility screams' 5 track e.p. working with producer extraordinaire ally whitty and an array of musical commandos!! looks set to be a great acheivement of songwriting and energetic performance coupled with studio wizardry by ally!!! look out for some serious airplay in the future days!! as well as weekly working with musicians at 'the bridge' he performed at 'the liquid ship' in glasgow. he was on a new 2009 podcast being interviewed and is finalising his itinerary for the u.s.a. in march.

December 2008

2008 has been a great year for Scott as a songwriter. He has penned a lot of tracks. 9 in New York where he met up with a local promoter and some in London. He has been quite prolific and is starting to work with musicians looking at putting out an E.P.

in mid February and a full album later on in 2009 with the working title of "Possibility Screams"

He is setting up gigs from early 2009. He has opportunities in London and also he is going for a short 10 day tour to Houston, Texas

in March. He has already secured one TV slot and some concert dates. He will confirm full USA itinerary by the end of January.

A full list of all his dates will be on his website and myspace for 2009 once confirmed. He will be performing exciting new material

along with more well known songs with fresh passion and I am sure 2009 will bring him many more opportunities.

He still has 2 songs with American Publishing House Brandon Hills, "I Could Drown in your Eyes" and "Gone from my View" and is looking

forward to them being picked up Stateside......Watch this space for more exciting info to follow - Looks like 2009 could be a great year for Scott!

Texas Tour News

Scott recently returned from a two week tour to the United States, where he was based in and around Houston, Texas. Up and coming rapper Billy Kilpatrick (K9ine) accompanied him, he features on track 3 of Stunning Silence, 'It's too beautiful'. It was a very succesful stay for Scott and the American audience took kindly to his latest work. It also provided useful for his networking in the States. Scott now has an extensive group of contacts in the Southern Texas region which he hopes will see him make further ventures across the Atlantic in the not too distant future.

Scott appeared on Daystar TV, being interviewed as well as performing live in the studio. He also featured on Houston based KKHT radio and spent a day performing tracks for TBN studios which will be aired at a later date an experience the artist described as "amazing".

Scott also did several live gigs, K9ine accompanied him at two youth events whilst Scott performed solo at Triumph Church, Richmond and "Jane's Grill" at 2nd Baptist Church, one of the largest churches in the area. Scott also travelled east to play a concert in Winnie, Texas where he was able to see first hand the damage caused by Hurricane Wilma earlier in the year.

On the final night of the trip Scott had the opportunity to lead worship at Calvary Church, Stafford (under a prophetic annointing), the fourth time on the trip that he had been able to work in some capacity with local musicians.

All in all it was a great trip and lets see what 2006 brings for 'Stunning Silence'.

Tour 2006

The plan for 2006 is for an accoustic tour which will feature Fiona Jane ('Reshaping Eve') with dates and venues yet to be confirmed. The aim is to take the tour around Europe and moves are being made to play as far afield as Milan, London and Galway. However, the Scottish public should not fret as several gigs shall also be played in Scott's homeland.
